Walking Maps for the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust

Living Streets has published two new walking maps enabling patients and staff at two of The Royal Marsden’s sites to explore the local area. The charity for everyday walking worked with patients, staff and volunteers from The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, before commissioning Pindar Creative to create the maps.

Each map has three walking routes designed as a starting point to explore the local area. They are of differing lengths and where possible, the routes avoid roads that experience higher levels of traffic.

The Sutton map highlights local wildlife and points of interest. The shortest of the three walks leads patients to Maggie’s Centre and the surrounding garden – a valuable resource for patients and families, offering support and well-being advice as well as being a safe, welcoming space and a haven from the main site. Routes on the Chelsea map make use of peaceful green spaces and riverside views, while exploring the rich history of an area that started life as a Saxon village.
